Dear Mr. President,

I applaud you for doing something right in propelling the repeal of DADT - that is, if you had anything to do with it other than making it a campaign promise.

What I don't understand is the positioning of yourself with the GOP on the "Republican Tax Reduction Act of 2010" formerly known as "The Bush Tax Cuts".

Dropping Social Security to 4% is not acceptable. It's simply a way to phase it out. Social Security and Medicare have been a problem for years, but Medicare is really the problem. Your Health Care plan hardly addresses that. Not dealing with Estate Tax "the Death Tax" was just plain dumb - while the yield would have been minimal, but to continue drop the top 3% (which, by the way, who pay the majority of taxes is astonishing). Programs must be cut - school lunches, school programs, excessive government spending, and more.

I hope our military is bringing over enough of those poppies from Afghanistan to make up for the shortfall, if not, some of those guys in Washington need to be smoking Crack! Might give 'em some ideas they didn't have.

I applaud the House Democrats for rejecting your "deal". That, finally shows some backbone on their part. Maybe they have finally listened to the people.

In closing, thanks for the DADT. But you must keep working. Families in this country are suffering by paying too much in taxes. Our middle class is literally disappearing - it's "the Have's and the Have Nots" and that's a shame.

God Bless America

Dear Mr. President,

I awoke this morning to the Stephanie Miller radio show where they were discussing how the President had caved on the Bush Tax Cuts and additionally extended Unemployment Benefits for 13 months rather than 24

Appalled and betrayed are the only words I could find to describe my feelings about these issues. Feeling this way, I wrote my first letter to the President. A letter, written with respect yet questioning his character and his ability to stand up to the opposition.

While we have seemingly elected a good and honest man, we have elected someone who campaigned on the slogan, “Change you can believe in”. Yet, we have not seen any change at all. I realize there is a huge faction of citizens, while saying they are not racist, indeed are. I truly believe there is an attitude of not allowing a single thing this man wants to do. It is apparent the “old guard”. The southern (and northern) senators and congressmen whose families have a history of owning slaves still feel this way and while he may have a good idea, they aren’t going to allow him to you suggest or let a single idea get done. Not this “boy”.

It is my opinion that you don’t put an idea out there and say, “Let’s discuss”! You obviously will get shot down. The stupidity of allowing an outgoing President set up a Bailout only a week before you take office and then allowing you to get stuck with the consequences was telling from the start. The entire “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” debacle, the health care plan - Here’s my thoughts, what are yours? Remember, its people that have health care are deciding whether the people that don’t, can. It’s insane. I’ve always said, if that’s your story, and then stick with it. Well, Mr. President, if that’s your concept, stick with it!

I find it even more disgusting the media assassination this man must go through. It was never like this during the Bush years. Never. There are hours upon hours each day on the airwaves that are full of hate for this man. And the mindless in this country, the people who follow, and don’t have an original thought in their head, just follow the lead. Someone once said, without organized religion, there would be chaos. I believe that is the same for many of our media outlets. It’s not the news folks; it’s an opinion of the news. And America just doesn’t get it. But without their lead, I’m afraid chaos would prevail.

Awhile-back Mr. Obama indicated he would rather be a good one-term president rather than a bad two-term president. Well, right now it doesn’t matter whether it’s one or two. Because he has let opportunity after opportunity go by to prove his strength and character and in my opinion failed each time.

While I am neither a Republican nor Democrat, I would expect a president to take time to find his stride. Mr. Obama, find your stride. It’s time.

Jury Duty

After all these years they finally got me. Yes, on Monday morning I was called. The 2nd name in the box. And I apparently answered all the questions properly and stayed for the trial.

The charges were something called Possessing Firearms, and Resisting, Obstructing arrest.

The testimony was the evidence.

I couldn't help but feel the way the charges were written, there really was no way a not guilty verdict could be found. It is unfortunate that the defendent had a horrible attorney who tried to distract us by presenting into evidence a document that stated he could not possess firearms at the last minute. It made no sense when throughout the testimony, there was no mention of a questionable document.

Oh well, it just goes to show you that if you get arrested. Be complacent, compliant and polite.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Not sure if any of you have heard the text of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" survey that is being passed around our active servicemen, but on the Karel Show (Green 960) I heard it. It is absolutely vile and disgusting. It makes us feel like lepers! Questions like, if you thought your roommate was gay, would you feel different about them? How do you feel about showering in the same shower a "queer" showers in? Would you feel comfortable...blah, blah, blah. Someone full of hate wrote this and I'm totaly embarassed that they most likely were Democratic. (Makes me glad I turned "Decline to State" this year.)

Anyway, if you get a chance look for it! You won't be voting for Obama in 2012, I betcha.

The 40th Anniversary of Pride

Amazing! 40 years since the Stonewall Riots. Wow!

I'm usually one to never miss Pride but these past few years living in Jamestown, I dare to say, I've missed a few. Back in 2002, I found a black and White photograph of the dome of the San Francisco City Hall. I purchased it and it hangs on the wall above my desk.

I reminds me of years of dancing in the streets below it. Looking up at its' grandeur and being so thankful we could be allowed to carry on this way.

Some of the best times of my life were centered around this day. I have met some of the best people and overall, had the best time.

My first Pride happened in Los Angeles. I inadvertently walked down the street (I live on N. Flores in West Hollywood) to the grocery store and there it was...my first Pride Parade. I was captivated. It was a hell of a day.

I can only hope the best for my friends in the City enjoying and celebrating the day.

A Snow Job!

Have you ever felt sucker to a con job? Maybe got swept up into circumstances by people who are very well trained to do just that? Well, I just have.

Let me start at the beginning. On Monday, November 16th, I reacted to a new medication my physician gave me with a very sever skin rash. I drove myself to Prompt Care, kind of a Quickie Triage without the ER Room run by the same kind folks who operate our local hospital.

They also listened to my lungs and found I was quite congested, which I was, and provided me with an Aerosol nebulizer treatment. They told me to stop the med’s that gave me the rash but if my cough didn’t get any better I should see ER, (or my physician, for which I knew would be impossible outside of my December 2 appointment.)

On Wednesday night I went to bed kind of early for me and didn’t wake up until 3pm the next day (approx. 14 hours later). I woke feeling awful, coughing, gasping for breath, feeling lousy. My Dad coerced me into thinking that I might want to go to the hospital. From around 3 until maybe 5 or 6 PM, I stumbled around, in a daze, actually thinking I should go to see a physician. I finally found two matching shoes, grabbed headphones for my iPhone and got in the Exploder. I weaved and swerved irradically all over the road to the hospital, where, Thank God, I made it without endangering anyone’s life.
I stumbled in. Immediately was checked in, turned to be seated and was called to come in. The intern’s ran towards me, where I guess I literally collapsed.

I was laid down on this really comfortable gurny, only it was like a big settee, a deep maroon leather, with the same color drapes. The fellow on my left had cut his hand and was scheduled for surgery and muttered on aimlessly all the while the staff scurried about me. Thermometers, BP, Cap on the finger to determine the oxygen level in my blood, which, was around 83 or so. (The commencement of Oxygen). I remember someone introducing me a Dr. Amos and I was just engulfed with interns (or smooth salespeople). One offered to get me something from the cafeteria, I had no idea of the time because my watch went in my pocket for the IV drip that was started. An intern or something came back with the driest egg salad sandwich I ever tasted. Then the primary, dark haired intern asked if she could swab my nose. I asked what for? But not before I had a swab in and out of each nostril. Was it DNA? (Later, I was told it was for MRSA, which, if they had asked I would have told them I’d had multiple times years ago). (Probably the combo, MRSA/DNA was more accurate).

Then the subtle suggestions began. “Wouldn’t you feel better here tonight?” “We should really take a better look at you, you’re lungs appear very congested. I may have even been given an albuteral nebulizer treatment, it’s such a fog. (Something in the drip, perhaps?)

It was from this point on, I have no idea of what possessed me.

Firstly, I’m in the Ugliest Plastic Walled hospital run by Adventist Health, the organization that pushed behind the scenes for the closure of the county’s health facility and hospital. An organization that has taken over this community with it’s Doctor’s, nurses, specialists and senior citizens. This building is so hideous, I seriously feeling like blowing chunks when I see it. When I’ve taken my father there for blood draws, it’s like a friggin factory. The senior’s all line up, waiting for their name to be called, then get ushered into the “drawing room”, which can accommodate maybe 6-8 phlebotomist’s at once and all the senior’s know each other and chat amongst themselves. I think I even had blood taken there once to my dismay.
They use the “one big draw” procedure, where all the blood is drawn into a pint size syringe and then squirted into individual tubes. I don’t think this is even a proper procedure anymore even but it keeps the lines moving.

This is the organization I wrote letters to the editor about years ago. They, by the county’s closure of the Old General Hospital moved their vacancy factor to a much lower figure. Of course, they then had to take Medical people, all of them. And those patients are generally kept out of sight, off to the side. Recently, I wrote a blog about them, originally as a letter to the editor of our paper, which was rejected “because they didn’t want to present a positive or negative picture of any county corporate entity.” They also have the Law Enforcement Department lab processing, which I might add is quite lucrative.

Well, I must have succumb. The sweet dark haired intern whispered in my ear there was going to be a $75 co-pay, which they would happily bill me. And off I went past two or three deputies, having coffee into an elevator opening, onto a dark floor into a darker room with only a male nurse-like person, all wearing masks, and shifted into “the hospital bed”.

After being made familiar with it’s plethora of features, none of which I used other then the call button, I was questioned by the nurse like man and every answer entered into his laptop on wheels.

I drifted for awhile, asked for water, and the man nurse told me he’d have someone get me some. Later a young masked girl arrived with water. 3 am… 4 am… 5 am…, every now and then someone would come in, test the finger for oxygen and leave…with the machine beeping and blinking. On went my call light. Off went the machine. Then the IV machine. They did something, blinking, beeping. On went the call light, off with the machine. Then the oxygen machine again.. Each time the response time became considerably longer. There, out of the blue, a young Indian boy came to draw blood. He looked around for somewhere to poke and not being able to find anyplace, I asked, “For what?” He said something, I don’t remember now, but knowing my bloodwork, I knew that particular test took a couple days to run. It needed to be cultured, etc. I said, “No.!”

He of course ran out with his tail ‘tween his legs. Mainly because he couldn’t find a vein if he had to due to his lack of experience

Then breakfast, something to look forward to. I don’t know how to make an omelette shaped like a flattened football, with a flattened potato-tot, on top of a piece of the same shaped toast look less appealing. And the taste was horrific. I drank some milk.

A new nurse came in. I told her I hated it here. She asked, “the loneliness?” I agreed “that and more”. I later found out that because I answered “yes” to Fever and Night sweats meant possible TB exposure, which in turn meant “Solitary”.

Then there was a hush and “Dr. V” came in. He was at least 7’2, Indian, probably Mumbai, American educated as I detected no British accent. His name badge read his full name but he preferred to be known as the Main Doctor. He asked why I had refused blood work and told me they would have to take two points, culture them and wait.
I told him of my travel plans to see my dying mother in Colorado. He appeared sympathetic. (Although at that moment I couldn’t even conjure the thought of the preparation necessary to go, shopping, cooking for Dad, packing, driving to SF all night. Could I do it?

At that point, I lost it. I told him I had to get out of there. I told him I was leaving in two days to be with my mother, I had no time for this. This was all bullshit and to let me the hell out of there. His face shifted from a “false caring to a false disappointing look”. He again asked if I really needed to go. I solidly told him, “Yes, I did”, I said. He said he would see what he could do and left the room.

Then more of last night every now and then someone would come in a test the finger for oxygen and leave…with the machine beeping and blinking. On went my call light. Off went the machine. Then the IV machine, they gave me more antibiotics They left, then the blinking, beeping. On went the call light, off with the machine. Then the oxygen machine again.. . and on and on.

Then a lovely young Sales Rep came to me with my brand new “Nebulizer” (which I had to pay for 80/20). She showed me all the features, an on/off switch. I then asked her how I was to take this thing on an airplane. She said she knew they could fly, but thought maybe some paperwork might need to be filled out or something. I said, “Have you noticed the airline climate in which we live today?” She looked at me with a bewildered, “Huh?” I asked her how much this would cost and she quickly submitted Medicare would pay 80%. They thought of having to check in a “Nebulizer” with United Airlines, not coughing or looking sick on an airplane or be thrown off in today’s climate ran constant in my head.

Then back came the checkout nurse. More papers to sign, doctor’s orders, a prescription list.

She asked if I wanted to walk or a wheel chair. I opted for the wheel chair. I’m glad.
She wheeled my past 6 or 8 rooms of extremely elderly sick looking people, past the nurse’s station and to the elevator. (My room had a South East looking view overlooking a lot of room top to Mt. Duckwalt in the distance. I never looked out.
I am still appalled that I was in this place, this place where I promised myself I would never go.

Finally, discharge time. I drove straight home and laid down. The thought of driving back to Bertelli’s Drugs was completely out of the question for Friday. While I did find out when I called they do deliver, 24 hours notice and it was too late for today and not on the weekends.

Saturday morning I drove to Bertelli’s. $268. No, no, no! All I had wanted the night before was a strong antibiotic and some prednisone to open up the lungs. Instead, this is what I got.

My hospital pharmacist’s list read as follows:
1. Tamiflu – for the H1N1, which I had been told by them I didn’t have. $85.40
2. Levaquin 750 mg – the antibiotic. Medicare didn’t pay
so they called in a substitute - I remember having this before
but never so expensive. $250.00
3. The substitution: Avelox 400 mg./7 days. The substitute med. $ 99.00
4. Albuteral .84% $ 58.00
5. Atrovent neb. $ 28.00
6. Prednisone 10 mg./9 of them (descending 4 – 1, I altered the dosage) $ 7.20

I opted for items 3 and 6 to a cool $99.

I thankfully now realize, that had I opted to not admit myself and actually drive home, I would have been arrested as I backed my Exploder out of the parking lot or drove back down Hwy. 108. At the time, I didn’t even think of a taxi, which would have been safe.

I also now realize, I was profiled. Under 50 (just), Income (disability, but income), Insured). The perfect target. I could pay. And pay, I’m sure I will. I felt so ill on Friday having lost time in preparing for my trip, that is: grocery shopping and meals for my father, making sure he had enough food in the house and his needs were taken care of, I knew that with only Saturday afternoon, I could only cancel my trip to Denver, thus saving the Airline Ticket value for future use.

Quite interestingly enough, my father, who had been sick (I think I actually caught it from him), wasn’t getting better. On Monday, the 23rd, we made a Tuesday appointment at his VA Clinic. His diagnosis: Pneumonia. Medication: A hand held Albuteral Nubulizer (with more coming in the mail) and Amoxicillin 500mg/10 days Cost: Under $10

So…both of us have been diagnosed with Pneunomia, and look at the difference in treatment.

I also wonder whether the nebulizer treatment I received three days earlier at the Prompt Care used new tubes. They did mention I had some sort of fungus growing cultured from my lungs. What is the normal incubation time?

Tomorrow, Monday, December 1st I will look into returning the Nebulizer, after all, it wasn’t used and why charge an already stretched Medicare. I will also go to SRMC and request all records relating to my overnight sojurn: Physician’s ER notes, X-Ray’s, Lab Work. Only because I was told my physician did not have hospital priviledges and I’ll need to take this to him.
This total cost is yet to be known, but

I do know it cost me a precious week with my mother in Denver, which is the largest price I will ever pay. More later…I promise.

It is also interesting to note that if you Google SRMC 95370, you get an advertisement on "How to Become a Certified Nurse"
at, of all places, SRMC - Sonora.

Election Day

It's sort of bittersweet. Not the part about voting for Barack, but is you've Voted for No on 8, there's a bittersweet feeling of having no one in my life. (It's kind of like not being on a party invitation list).

Anticipation

I don't think I can ever remember so much anticipation as the announcement of Barack Obama's Vice President. It's so funny, these newsmen look like fools as they keep checking their cell phones.

This will definitely go down in history as the biggest anticipation in history.

Who will it be?

I Want Condi

I wish I could take credit for this blog, but I can't. It appeared on The Huffington Post, written by Chris Kelly. It reads as follows and is brilliant, by the way:

I Want Condi

From the very beginning, the presidential race should have been between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton opposing Sen. McCain and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. It could still be if we quit wasting time.
-- Letter to the Editor, Wall Street Journal 08/12/08

I don't believe Condoleezza Rice can actually play piano. Everything else she's ever touched has been a fraud and a catastrophe, why should her alleged musical abilities be any different? Think about it. Think about any event she's been even remotely involved in since you first heard her name. An endless string of threats and blundering and arrogant bluffs turned squalid pigf*cks. It's not that she can't do her job; she can't do anything. I think when she plays piano the piano catches fire and the audience dies. So yeah, sure, Condoleezza Rice for Vice President. Time's a wastin'.
But there's one other thing that we're always told to keep in mind when we consider Condoleezza -- I mean, besides her wondrous ability to play an instrument: Whatever happens, It's not her fault.
Sure, she ignored the warnings about bin Laden, and she was shoe shopping during Katrina, and she can't find her ass with her hands on Lebanon, or North Korea, or Pakistan. It's not her fault because those aren't her area.
Her field of expertise is the Soviet Union. Ask anyone at the Hoover Institute. She's just brilliant on the Soviet Union.
She's written books on the Soviets, a dissertation even! She speaks Russian. She has impeccable credentials -- for a top slot in the Ford administration.
So it's not fair to get down on her for her inability to handle Zimbabwe or Iran or Venezuela; George W. Bush needed her at his side in case Brezhnev came back.
And she was a woman and a minority, too! Which would have been really something, in about 1975. But, considering the Berlin Wall had fallen in 1989, making a Sovietologist National Security Advisor was like putting Pocahontas in charge of NASA.
During Dr. Rice's tenure, we've had a devastating terrorist attack and two wars. Peace between Israel and the Palestinians went nowhere, and Pakistan sold everybody the bomb. In 2000, there was serious talk about making Bill Clinton Secretary General of the United Nations. In 2008, Mexico and England are the only places Air Force One can land without dropping flares.
But it wasn't her fault. She was standing watch on the Danube.
She's been trained since birth to handle Russia. If a strongman ever took over there she'd box him in faster than you could say "détente." And if that strongman ever even thought about invading somewhere? She'd know about it, and she'd slap him down faster than you could say "containment."
Or maybe not.

GEORGIA ROUTED AS PEACE BID FAILS
- Headline, Wall Street Journal 08/12/08

So where's Condi, while the French broker a peace treaty?

Has anyone checked the shoe stores?

I'm Sorry

Well I just spoke to my friend Mark. Apparently, I posted something about him that he didn’t like. Since I can’t seem to find it, I will just retract anything bad I ever said about him.
Mark is a wonderful human being and I never meant to tarnish his name.

It's Over...for now...

Whew! Was I relieved when Barack topped the nomination tonight. These last few months have been a wild roller-coaster of a ride with the media running amuck at every chance.

I think our new president should ban the media from themselves. No more politico. No ore derisive politics, racial divides and all that has gone with it.

I like the idea of Pay per View channels. I could eliminate Fox and most likely CNN. I don't think I'd be missing any fair or balanced either.

As much as I wanted Hillary to win the nomination there is still hope of a VP spot...I hope.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see but for now...it's over!

My new global warmth

I love having a new vehicle. The world seems to stop, to give me a chance to drive and enjoy the fruits of my savings. Unfortunately, the fruits of my savings cost $120 to fill up her tank. Yikes! The only President to invade a country for its' oil and still not get it.

Happy for Hillary!

Wow, what an exciting night watching Hillary win PA. (Her PA, that is). If she can pull and 11% it may make a difference. I know what I had said previously, but I really hope we are going to see the "Dream Team: Hillary (P) and Obama (VP)" go strongly forward to a win in November.

Dumb Questions for Dumb Americans

On Verdict with Dan Abrams last night, they teased the following statement into a commercial…

They asked Undecided Voters “How they will feel if their candidate loses?”

My question is, “How can an Undecided Voter answer that question?”

Then, they asked the wives of the polygamy deal in Texas, “How many husbands can a wife have?” Huh?

This, my dear friends, is our American Media. And we bother to wonder how Americans can be so stupid.

Click here to visit My PA...

Well, you know what I was thinking when I received this email from Hillary Clinton. Yup, that's it! Hillary is pierced! And she has a PA!

Now that was my first thought. I can't help it if my mind automatically goes to the most common PA I know. That is, a Prince Albert, or a piercing in one's penis! Usually, a ring though the end of it! Sometimes, I seen a little bar-bell. I couldn't help but chuckle!

When I Googled PA, I was prompted to the Wikipedia, which I absolutely love. I quote,

"The Prince Albert piercing (PA) is one of the common forms of male genital piercing. The PA pierces the penis from the outside of the frenulum and into the urethra. There is also the "reverse Prince Albert piercing" which enters through the urethra and
exits through a hole pierced in the top of the glans."

Now if this is what Wikipedia says, I can't help but think that HiIlary's campaign people didn't bother to check it out! Maybe she's after a "certain" type of voter, Who knows? But I bet PA's will be welcomed in the White House once again when she wins!

Needless to say, I don't think I'll contribute this round.

At last, my predictions...

Ok, I might as well spill the beans, my predictions for the Democratic Candidate for President: Either Barack Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton. I think they are both stuck with each other and they both know it. Although if Hillary pulls enough of Texas and Ohio she might think she can do it without him. Hopefully not, because if he is not the nominee I think a whole lot of people will be crying foul and then mess this whole thing up leaving McCain the winner. I hope if Obama is the choice, he will defer to Hillary knowing that he will have 8 years in the White House and then the seemingly secure possibility of 8 more for a total of 16 years. How wonderful!

I believe that is why the last two debates seem to show the two are being very similar. They have both stressed friendship prior to and after the campaign and if ether person is not the candidate, they will certainly disenfranchise hundred’s of thousands of voters

With racial comments heightening over the past two years in the media, we have been pre-conditioned, if you will, to be sensitive to what I call the elephant in the room. No one seems to address the issue of Barack being black and Hillary white and I dare say no one addresses the issue of Hillary being a woman. Something is wrong right there.

I think that behind the scenes, deep within the Republican Party workers (and they will always remain mysterious) are finding racist and antifeminist voters to come out, register, and vote for the “other” candidate. It’s very subtle and maybe far-fetched, but outside of the major cities, racism is alive and well. Just as men feeling women should be pregnant in the kitchen is alive and well. Think of home many married men refer to “their wives” rather than to them by name. I believe Republicans want Obama as the candidate with Hillary out of the picture. It’s the only way they can win.

Furthermore, I think McCain will choose Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida as his running mate. I personally don’t think McCain has long. He looks frail, he is older and I think his days are numbered. What a great idea of having a candidate that just might not make it past the inauguration as the president with a Bush standing beside him. Interesting as well is that during the Primary Season, no one has even bothered to talk about the effect Florida will have. Florida was certainly influential in the 2000 race.

One other thing in the back of my mind is that should there be some fiasco after the Democratic Convention, I’m sure George W. Bush would be more than happy to initiate Martial Law until the unrest quiets down. This quite possibly could make GBW the last president of the United States of America. We recently saw this in Pakistan and the administration’s reaction to Mushareff declaring himself Commander in Chief of the Army and the Nation. Maybe a test for America to see the reaction.

Well, there it is. I wanted to put it out there. The media has had a hey-day. The corporate giants supporting the media and backing the candidates have had a hey-day. It’s really been quite a year. A year that has distracted the nation from issues at hand like immunity for telecoms, the cost of the war, the state of the economy here at home and the diabolical escapades of the man, who as the result of a presidential coup d’etat stole the White House in 2000.

Note: MS Word 2008 for MAC spell check gives Osama as a corrected spelling for Obama. Interesting how even the great corporate giant Microsoft wants to draw parallels to a criminal

And the money keeps rolling in with every cough...

For a long time now I've had this idea that the "flu shot" is part of a big conspiracy. A conspiracy to give people the flu, so they get the flu in the winter months and have to buy tons and tons of cold and flu products. And it works.

American's are being led around by the nose and buying into it. More and more each year. The reason I am writing about this is because my Father got his flu shot this past October and consequently got the flu two weeks ago has now given it to me. The last time I had the flu was about 15 years ago when I got my last flu shot. Over the past few years Dad didn't get a shot and this year did ... and also got the flu. The cough and cold remedy business brings in big bucks for these mega corporations. I mean, a bottle of Nyquil will set you back about $6 or $7 bucks. And then of course, you'll have to have some accompanying decongestant or expectorant too. Big bucks indeed.

America's media buys into it, primarily because the drug companies sponsor the media. And then all you hear is, "Did you get your flu shot this year?" I mean think about it. Injecting you with the flu so you don't get the flu. Come on! And we wonder why these resistant strains of infections is running rampant throughout the country . . . because we have so overmedicated ourselves, the bugs have taken on new genetic forms. And it's all true too.

So while I drink my Nyquil, suffering from a cough, congestion, et. al., I can only be pissed that I too have fallen into being led around by my nose like the rest of the country. Just some food for thought while you enjoy your winter illnesses. And for he makers of Nyquil and the rest, the money keeps rolling in.

Hope for a brighter future!

Tomorrow is the New Hampshire primary. The beginning. I don't consider the Iowa caucauses to mean much, but I do consider NH to start the race. I have been a contributor to Hillary's campaign since the beginning. I even made calls last month to Absentee Ballot Voter's. I can't tell you how much this country needs a change and I believe Mrs. Clinton can do that. GWB has turned our once great nation into a sham. When I was in France, the people noticably changed after the 2nd term election. Everyone knew he stole the 2000 election. But when the people actually voted him in a second term, it was very difficult for the French to think that America really wanted him and his policies. I am a Democrat for obvious reasons. Human Rights, power to the people and moreover, honesty in government. I believe John Edwards was correct in his assessment that the war was nothing more than a bumper sticker. While I support the troops, I don't support the mission. I can't imaging spending $100K for a garbage truck in Iraq and children in our country not having books in schools. There a so many injustices, I can't begin to list them.

All I know, at the end of the day, is that the eight years of GBW will be over soon and I can only hope Hillary Clinton will be the successor. I will do everything I can to help.
